The Last of Us Part II was developed by Naughty Dog, and you might’ve also heard of them from the Uncharted series and the Crash Bandicoot games. The Last of Us Part II is available now on PS4, and it can be found in the Playstation Store and at most retail stores. What inspired this game was the cliffhanger from the previous game.
Overall, I definitely recommend this game, because the plot twists make sense and the ending has a good meaning. The story of the game is actually very easy to follow and understand, as long as you have played the first game. I cared a lot about what was happening in it, and it kept me interested.
The story drew me in a lot and made me want to keep going. The amount of conflict and feelings that you go through over the course of the game is wild. The story is very unpredictable, and that’s another reason I kept playing, because I was always wondering what was going to happen next.
Similarly, all of the characters are very well-written. One of the main characters, Abby, is fully-realized, but I still didn’t like her. She is so close-minded throughout the game, and it made me annoyed.
On the other hand, Ellie is one of my favorite characters, and I can see where she’s coming from. She shows so much love and loyalty towards Joel and the others in her community. She is a very strong character and a great fighter, which I like.
Joel is probably my favorite character in the game. He is willing to go through anything for Ellie and is really the parental figure that she needs. He is very stern, but soft-hearted towards her, and I liked that a lot.
The gameplay of The Last of Us Part II is fun, but it can sometimes be difficult because of the bosses and some of the activities it makes you do. The game does give rewards for certain things, like crafting to make some of the bombs and weapons. The game also has some great graphics. It feels like you’re watching a movie. There are rarely any glitches in the game, and the characters do move and act realistically, which helps to make the experience more immersive.
Finally, the music compliments the game fairly well. It is timed so well with the action on the screen, and it slowly comes in, so it’s not getting in the way of the dialogue at all. The characters actually often play music and sing, which I find very fitting.
Overall, the game is very well worth the journey it takes you on, as it is very interesting and difficult, but that’s what makes it fun. The Last of Us Part II also got to me emotionally. You can play this game for hours, and it took me several days to finish. I like how long the game is, and the amount of gameplay and story available is perfect.
I actually played through this game twice, because I really loved it. However, I will say though that the first time playing through a game is always the best.
All in all, this game is a great experience, but I recommend playing the first one beforehand to get a better understanding of what is happening. The price has gone down a bit since it first came out, so it should be more affordable now. I ultimately recommend this game to people who like great storylines and memorable characters.
