The hit video game, Fallout: New Vegas, was released on October 19, 2010. It was written by John Gonzalez and published by Bethesda Softworks. It stars some of the most famous voice actors, including Matthew Perry, Rene Auberjonois and John Doman.
Fallout: New Vegas is one of the best post-apocalyptic RPG games ever made. These two elements help make up one of the best games that you can buy.
Perry, Auberjonois, and Doman have all been in great games and movies, but this is one of the best games they have been in. Perry voices Benjamin “Benny” Bennerson, leader of the Chairmen and owner of the Tops Casino. Auberjonois voices Robert House, former president of RobCo Industries and current owner of New Vegas. And Doman voices Ceaser, the leader of Caesar’s Legion.
One great aspect of this game is that there are multiple factions available, and you get to choose which side you want to support. The main factions include the New California Republic (NCR), Caesar’s Legion, Mr. House, and Independent, where you get to run New Vegas through commanding Yes Man. By picking any of these four factions, not only do they win the battle for Hoover Dam, but they also get to rule New Vegas in the endgame.
Another great aspect of this game is the dialogue choices. Unlike most games where you can’t choose what to say to NPC’s scattered across the map, in Fallout: New Vegas, you get to pick what your character, The Courier, says.
One great example of this is in the quest called “Ring-a-Ding-Ding”, where you go and confront Benny. If you have max speech level, you can make him go into the presidential suite and kill him there instantly, instead of having to chase him to Cottonwood Cove, where Ceaser is located.
The story of this game isn’t the only good thing about it, as the downloadable content that comes with the game, when you buy the Ultimate edition, also has a pretty good story. One example of this is “Dead Money,” which follows The Courier as he arrives at the Sierra Madre Casino after receiving a strange signal. Another great storyline is in “Honest Hearts”, where The Courier is caught in a war ìn Zion Canyon.
So make sure to check out this amazing game, and you can play it now on most major consoles and through Steam. You can get the Ultimate edition for only $20. And if you enjoy this game, I suggest you go and play Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, as they are also pretty good games.
