Eat Healthier, Nitros!

Have you ever found yourself eating out of boredom and then feeling terrible about it, and maybe you don’t know what to do about it? That was me, up until about one month ago, when my eyes opened up, and I understood more about healthy and unhealthy foods.

When we are tired and hungry, we sometimes eat constantly, in order to make ourselves feel better. But what this is actually doing is harming our bodies in several ways. 

The food we eat is often really bad for us, but there are alternatives to those foods, like sugar-free Jello, sugar-free soda, and Stevia. Eating healthy means controlling your portion sizes and making sure that nothing too fatty or sugary goes into your body. 

Yes, sometimes we all would like a slice of cake, or even a nice, warm chocolate chip cookie. But it’s important to understand that eating too many of these delicious treats can cause type-2 diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure.

There are so many good and healthy foods for us to eat, and we should put more attention on eating them over any of the fast food that we know about. There are healthier places to eat, too, and we have some of them in Glendale, such as Chop Stop, Pokitomik, and Tender Greens

Two years ago, I went to Armenia for three months, and I saw that there is a difference between the ingredients in American food, as opposed to those found elsewhere. During those three months, I lost ten pounds and felt more energetic and active, only because I was eating so much better. 

My point is that the food and water in other countries is healthier than our bottled water and that fast food that we have here in America. It’s crazy knowing that some of our bottled water likely has salt in it, in order to make us thirstier. This is exactly why I would recommend having a filter set up at home, so you can always get clean, fresh water. Imagine all those harmful chemicals you’ve been consuming without even knowing it. 

That’s why I would recommend tracking the amount of calories you eat with an app called MyFitnessPal, which is available on iPhone and Android. We should all eat healthier and treat our bodies like a temple.
