Kasya Moses is a junior at Glendale High School, and she is currently serving as President of the Class of 2025. Additionally, she is a member of the girls water polo team here at GHS, and she is also a part of the California Scholarship Federation

Kasya is an Armenian from Iraq, and in her free time, she enjoys watching TV shows, like Criminal Minds and Grey’s Anatomy. She also likes reading crime and mystery stories, and books with a thrilling plot line. She recently read the book Where the Crawdads Sing, and she also watched the movie and enjoyed both. She also loves listening to all kinds of music.

Kasya enjoys being the Junior Class President, and her favorite part about this role is having a leadership position. She also enjoys being involved in school activities. Although she loves being a class president, Kasya mentioned that it often gets stressful, but she’s able to manage it in the end. “Over the course of the past two years, the classes…all communicate way better now,” she said.

Kasya keeps her commitment to the role of president by having support from her friends, and she uses the motivation from her classmates to keep going. She is excited for her junior year, and she’s looking forward to our upcoming school rallies, the class fundraisers, and applying to universities during her senior year.

Kasya joined the water polo team going into her sophomore year. She says she joined water polo, because she thought “playing a sport combined with a pool was really fun.” She enjoys having late-evening practices, mainly because it’s relaxing for her after school to get into the water.

Kasya isn’t a part of any clubs currently, but she did join some clubs during Club Rush, like the Model UN Club, and the Make a Wish Society, because she likes the positivity found in those clubs.

Following graduation, Kasya would like to attend a four-year university, and she hopes to major in Math or Economics after high school. She is also very excited about being a senior next year, and she’s looking forward to upcoming events, such as Senior Sunset and Senior Awards Night.

If you are interested in being a part of your junior class council, follow them on Instagram: @glendale.2025 or contact your class advisors, Ms. Castaneda or Ms. Postajian.
