In Red Notice, the Netflix movie from 2021, Dwayne Johnson plays John Hartley, a serious FBI profiler whose job is to track down criminals who steal valuable art. At the beginning of the movie, Hartley is focused on catching the world’s most wanted art thief, Nolan Booth, played by Ryan Reynolds. Booth is very clever and uses humor to get out of dangerous situations. 

Even though Hartley wants to arrest Booth, the two characters are forced to work together when things do not go as planned. This creates tension and comedy right away.

As the movie continues, Hartley and Booth travel to many different countries, including Rome, Russia, and Egypt. Each location adds excitement and makes the movie feel big and adventurous. The settings include museums, prisons, jungles, and ancient ruins, which makes the story visually interesting. These locations help show how far the characters are willing to go to complete their mission and outsmart each other. 

 The action scenes are a major part of the movie. There are intense fight scenes, fast car chases and risky escapes that keep the audience engaged. The movie moves quickly, so there is never a boring moment. 

Johnson brings strength and seriousness to his role, which balances well with Reynolds’ nonstop jokes and sarcastic comments. Their opposite personalities make their partnership entertaining to watch.

Gal Gadot plays Sarah Black, another famous art thief who is confident, intelligent, and mysterious. Her character adds surprises to the story and changes the direction of the plot several times. 

Sarah is not just a side character; she plays a key role in the twists of the movie. Her character makes the story more unpredictable and adds another layer of competition between the thieves.

One reason I like Red Notice is because it does not take itself too seriously. The humor makes the movie fun, especially Ryan Reynolds’ jokes and timing. The chemistry between the three main actors is strong, and they work well together on screen. The movie is easy to follow and enjoyable, which makes it a good choice for a casual movie night.

However, the movie does have some negative aspects. The plot can feel unrealistic at times, and some scenes are predictable. The story also focuses more on action and comedy than deep character development, so the characters are not very complex.
