Alina Bezjian is a junior at Glendale High School. She was born and raised in Glendale, with her roots in Armenian culture. Her favorite hobbies are reading and taking walks, and she loves hanging out with her friends and is an extreme homebody.
Alina is the president and cofounder of the Care-N-Share Club at GHS. With a passion for giving back to others, she started her club to become more involved in school and to bring people together to help those in need.
The purpose of the Care-N-Share Club is to make care packages filled with essentials like a toothbrush and toothpaste, socks and school supplies. Alina and her club members then send these packages to low-income kids and families who are not able to afford them.

After starting her club, Alina has learned that it takes a lot of responsibility and dedication to begin this journey, but especially to keep it going. “Even though it’s not an easy job, every challenge has been worth it,” she said. Although it seems like an easy job, starting a club is actually much more tedious and takes way more responsibility than you would expect.
The club’s main source of financing is the fundraisers held at school, so outside of school hours, members and cabinet members work together to gather supplies and help organize these events.
Alina’s favorite part about being president of this club is that she has the opportunity to bring together people who are willing to donate to their community, and she is proud to see the impact that her members have made so far. Her goal for the club this year is to raise enough money to give back to those who need it, even if it’s just a small amount.
Alina believes that her club can benefit other GHS students, because it is a place for everyone to unite to spread kindness and provide a helping hand to those who are less fortunate. She stated, “People should join this club because it always feels good knowing you have an opportunity to help others and be a part of your community.”
After she graduates, Alina hopes this club excels and is left in good hands. “I aim for this club to make an impact,” she said, “no matter how big or small.” She hopes that future club members will always remember that the sole purpose of the club is to care and share.
In the future, Alina hopes to attend a good university and plans to major in psychology. “I want my purpose to be to help others as much as I can and provide aid and comfort to those who need it,” she declared.
