The classic movie First Blood premiered on October 22, 1982, and it was followed by four sequels, with the most recent one being Rambo: Last Blood, which was released in 2019. First Blood was directed by Ted Kotcheff, and it was co-written by Sylvester Stallone, who also plays the main character, John Rambo. 

First Blood is a perfect mix of action and drama. These elements will keep you captivated, and you’ll want to finish the whole movie in one sitting. This film will interest everyone, as it is one of the best action-packed movies of all time. 

Stallone is a great actor, but he gives one of his best performances in First Blood. He plays a Vietnam vet who arrives in a small town. Eventually, John Rambo has an altercation with Will Teasle, the sheriff in town. Rambo is arrested and soon escapes, but he is hunted by the town’s police department and the National Guard.  

When I first watched First Blood, I thought it was one of the best movies I had ever seen. One of the best things about this film is the sound design. For example, whenever there is an action scene, a tune or a mix of sound effects starts to play. 

Another great aspect of the movie is all the different characters that we meet over the course of the story. The best ones are John Rambo, Sheriff Teasle and his former commanding officer, Colonel Samuel Trautman. Rambo’s character development is one of the best that you’ll find in the history of action movies. 

First Blood also has some of the most iconic scenes of all time. For example, when Rambo escapes from his jail cell, he outsmarts four different officers. And even after that, he survives being hunted by the National Guard, which shows us Rambo’s true capabilities as a soldier.
