Brina Brati
Throughout her time at Glendale High School, Brina Brati has been very involved in various activities. She is a part of the girls varsity water polo team and the swim team, president of the Mental Health Awareness Club, and the ASB Director of Visual and Performing Arts. She has expressed her love for art by taking sculpting and ceramics classes since freshman year. Brina is also a member of the Armenian Club, and she has participated in the Powderpuff Football Game and Nitro Crew.
Brina has an immense passion for the outdoors, such as hiking, paddle boarding, going to the beach and kayaking. She also spends her free time drawing and painting, while listening to her favorite music.
After high school, Brina will attend Los Angeles Valley College, and she will be a member of the women’s water polo team there for two years. She will be majoring in architecture and transfer to one of her top choices of universities: USC or Cal Poly SLO. Architecture is a mixture of her favorite subjects, math and art. It is a way to express her creativity and make designs that will positively impact society.
Anika Crabtree
Anika is the captain of the girls JV lacrosse team, leading with energy and a positive attitude. Outside of sports, she stays involved in Key Club, the Animal Humane Society and the Comic Book Club. Whether it’s supporting teammates or finding new ways to contribute, she is always up for making the most of every opportunity.
Anika loves sketching, listening to music and catching up with friends on the phone. Always up for a good time, Anika is all about creativity, fun and staying connected with the people she loves.
After high school, Anika plans to attend PCC and take the honors course, with the goal of transferring to a four-year university. While still figuring out her exact path, she is excited to explore different fields and see where the journey leads.
Finn Dever
Finn Dever started freshman year at Clark Magnet High School, but he transferred to GHS during his sophomore year, falling in love with the Nitro spirit. He joined the distance track and field team as a tenth-grader, and led the cross country as a co-captain during his senior year. He later joined shotput and discus during this current track season.
Finn enjoys long-distance running, hiking, and drawing. After high school, he will be studying Kinesiology at Chico State University. He will continue his education, as he enters a pre-med program, and he plans to become a physician’s assistant.
Nicole Duarte
Nicole has been the president of Best Buddies Club for the past two years, she has been a stage crew member for three years, and she has competed on both the girls soccer and track teams. She’s dabbled in so many activities these past four years, but her favorite extracurricular activity was her medical internship last year at Glendale Memorial Hospital.
Nicole loves spending time in nature, making her sisters and friends laugh, and having a good cry after watching movies or finishing a book. After high school, Nicole plans to get her bachelor of science in Nursing at Chico State University, and she wants to pursue a career as a physician’s assistant or a nurse practitioner.
Frank Hemaiden II
During Frank’s freshman year, he joined the GHS Cloud Computing program and participated on the baseball team. His sophomore year, he joined the boys volleyball team and continued with the sport into his senior year. Last year, he joined the Origami Club, and he became a member of our stage crew. This year, he also joined the American Sign Language Club.
Frank enjoys reading novels, playing various sports (like volleyball, basketball, ping pong and baseball), listening to music, drawing and cooking. He plans on going to college and eventually becoming a biomedical engineer.
Brianna Legacion
Bri has been on Glendale’s dance team for four years. She is a competition squad captain and in charge of a dance class on our campus. She has a huge passion for dance and enjoys every part of it. Other than dance, she is really into music, art, food and being with friends and family. Bri will be going to Pasadena City College, majoring in business. She will be getting her nail license to become a private nail technician. She also hopes to one day own her own unique dance studio.
Diana Lopez
Diana has been in ASB since her sophomore year. That’s actually where she met her best friend Meleny, who is also on our Prom Court this year. Diana is also a part of the Cloud Computing program and the president of National Honor Society. Outside of school, she has worked as a math and robotics tutor and helps out at local events and fundraisers.
Diana loves going to the beach, trying new restaurants and hanging out with friends. She enjoys exploring new places and making memories with the people she cares about.
After high school, Diana plans to pursue a degree in Business Information Systems at Cal State Fullerton. She’s passionate about technology, and wants to combine it with her interest in creative media, to develop innovative solutions that make a positive impact.
Meleny Mojica-Urtarte
Meleny Mojica-Urtarte is the Senior Class Vice President, and she has been a part of ASB for three years. Last year, she served as ASB Director of Academics, and the previous year, she was an ASB commissioner. She also has been a member of the GHS yearbook staff for two years. She is the vice president of Hunger Heroes and a member of the Letters for Rose Club, NHS and CSF. She was also a member of our GHS Nitro Crew.
Meleny loves to help others and is very outgoing. She can’t wait to graduate and tan during summer (hehe). She loves working, hanging out with friends and listening to music. Meleny is planning to go to Santa Monica College, and she hopes to transfer to UC Santa Barbara in two years, where she will major in Biopsychology.
Silvie Ovsepyan
Silvie Ovsepyan is an active and dedicated student at Glendale High School, involved in a wide range of extracurricular and community activities. She has participated in Oratorical and is a proud member of the Mental Health Awareness Club. After initially playing water polo, she transitioned to serve as the water polo team manager for both the boys and girls teams. She is also a member of CSF and NHS, recognizing her strong academic performance and commitment to service.
Silvie is a committed member of the Armenian Club. She has also competed on the school swim team. She is part of Nitro Crew, where she helps welcome and guide underclassmen, and she contributes to student leadership through her involvement in ASB. Additionally, she is a member of C.A.S.P.S., which is the Committee for Armenian Students in Public Schools.
Silvie has been dedicated to Armenian cultural dance for fourteen years, a passion that has allowed her to stay connected to her heritage and express herself through traditional movement and performance. Her long standing commitment to dance has taught her discipline, perseverance and the importance of cultural preservation.
Outside of the arts, Silvie also works as a legal assistant at a law firm, where she supports attorneys with research, documentation and client communication. This role has given her early exposure to the professional world and has strengthened her organizational skills, attention to detail and interest in the legal field.
After high school, Silvie plans to attend Glendale Community College and major in Business Economics. She has chosen this path because it combines her interest in analytical thinking with her passion for understanding how systems and people function in real world settings. Her ultimate goal is to become an attorney, a career that aligns with her strong sense of justice, attention to detail, and desire to advocate for others. With her dedication and drive, Silvie hopes to make a meaningful impact as a future attorney.
Benjamin Salmeron
Benji has been involved in the GHS volleyball program for four years, and he has been on the boys varsity team for three. He has been a member of Fashion Club for the last two years, and he is a founding member of both the Origami Club and the Club. The GHS Construction Academy has been a fundamental part of his high school career, and he is always willing to help fix anything you need.
Benji has also been involved in decorating the floats for the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena and has been a lead decorator for the past two yeAmerican Sign Languagears. Benji enjoys riding his bikes on the weekend and walking around his neighborhood, enjoying the flowers in everyone’s gardens. Recently he’s picked up gardening himself.
Lily Trinh
Through her four years at GHS, Lily has been most delighted to be a student of the Construction Academy and Ceramics Class on our campus. She played on the girls varsity soccer team for two years, was a Nitro Crew leader, and is a current member of the American Sign Language Club. She loves volunteering at the Glendale Central Library with her friends and doing calculus with her calc buddies.
In her free time, Lily loves to go to the gym, do arts and crafts projects and talk to her friends. She loves napping with her Jellycat collection, online shopping and having fun playing video games. After high school, Lily plans to major in Civil Engineering at UC Irvine. She loves designing, drafting and constructing projects, so she hopes to work in a related field. Go ‘Eaters!
