Dvin Hayrapetyan was born in the city of Tehran, Iran, and he arrived in the United States when he was three years old. He enjoys playing multiple sports that include basketball, soccer, pickleball, ping pong, and tennis. He is also a member of the boys tennis team here at Glendale High School. Dvin also has multiple other hobbies, such as hanging out with friends and building LEGOS.
Dvin’s passion for solving puzzles has led him to create the Puzzle Club here at GHS. This is a place for everyone who enjoys solving puzzles to share their passion with others.
Dvin created the Puzzle Club in 2023 so that he and his club members could solve puzzles, chill with friends, and be free of stress from their classes. The puzzles they put together started small, but they grew larger and larger as the years went by.
Even though Puzzle Club is a good addition to GHS, there are a few problems that Dvin has had to solve. The main problem is money, and the Puzzle Club is pretty different from the other clubs on our campus. As they meet every Thursday, that’s a ton of puzzles to solve, but Dvin is currently trying to get a grant to purchase more puzzles for his club.
Dvin’s main goal for Puzzle Club is to see people happy and enjoying themselves. People should join this club to improve their social skills. “It can take your mind off stress and you can meet new friends,” Dvin said.
What Devin enjoys most about being the president of the Puzzle Clubs is seeing that everyone is happy and is making new friends. The club currently has thirteen members, and he hopes that more people will join before the year is over. Puzzle Club meets twice a month, every other Thursday.
