Kayla Ferris is a senior at Glendale High School. During her free time, she loves to draw and paint, and she is the president of the GHS Multicultural Club.

Kayla is the founder of the Multicultural Club on our campus. She has always wanted to create a space for diversity and inclusivity. The club’s main purpose is to create a safe place for students from different cultural backgrounds.
Kayla wants everyone to feel appreciated and welcome in our community. Her main goal is to spread cultural awareness on our campus.
During club meetings, the members receive community service hours by attending events such as cultural parades, food festivals, and pop-up experiences. They are also informed about all the multicultural community events that are going on in our city.
Kayla believes that every student should join the Multicultural Club because it is a great place to meet new people. This club helps to expand our knowledge about different cultures and backgrounds.

Cultural diversity is important for having more meaningful interactions with the people around us. Building respect and empathy for other community members is a significant step.
Kayla is always looking for new community opportunities to offer her club members. Her biggest hope is that this club will continue to provide a safe place for every student on the campus after she graduates. Her next step after high school is going to a four-year university in California.
Kayla is a creative person who loves seeing all cultures come together. You can contact her advisor, Mrs. Yong, at [email protected] to join this wonderful club! You can also follow them on Instagram: @multiculturalclub.ghs!
