Dr. Bill Estrada Gallimore is our new assistant principal for last names G-L here at Glendale High School. With his extensive experience and genuine passion for education, he has a wealth of knowledge and refreshing enthusiasm for our school community.
Dr. Estrada Gallimore was born and raised in Arizona, where he attended and graduated from the other Glendale High School, founded in Glendale, AZ. He later moved to San Francisco, where he attended San Francisco State, and later started his career in education as a Sign Language Interpreter and Special Day Class teacher. He also taught at the California School for the Deaf, in Fremont, California as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing teacher.
Later, Dr. Estrada Gallimore ended up at Burbank High School as an American Sign Language (ASL) teacher and color guard coach. Then, he became an assistant principal at Crescenta Valley High School from 2017-2024. He describes CVHS as a terrific community, with great students and an incredible teaching staff.
Dr. Estrada Gallimore says he’s always wanted to be a teacher. He only discovered American Sign Language at Arizona State University, when he was an undergraduate in a nursing program and was required to take a foreign language. He fell in love with the language and decided to pursue it further.
Dr. Estrada Gallimore stated that, when you have a good teacher, it inspires you to try. Now he is a nationally certified sign language interpreter.
Whether working directly with students, collaborating with faculty, or engaging with parents, Dr. Estrada Gallimore’s approachable and visionary leadership style stands out. He is incredibly experienced in education and isn’t new to the Glendale Unified School District.
