It looks like you have another hilarious movie to watch!
Nacho Libre is a comedy movie written by Jared Hess, Jerusha Hess, and Mike White, and starring Jack Black. You can rent this movie on Amazon Prime, Fandango at Home, and Apple TV for $3.99, or you can watch it for free on Pluto TV.
Nacho Libre is about a man named Ignacio (Black), whose nickname is Nacho. He works as a cook in the Mexican monastery where he grew up. Many orphans live in the monastery, but there isn’t enough money to feed them properly. Because of this, Nacho becomes a Lucha Libre wrestler with Esqueleto (Héctor Jiménez) who is his wrestling partner. Unfortunately, the church leaders forbid wrestling, so Nacho has to disguise his identity.
Nacho Libre has a great plot, as it’s easy to follow and keeps you hooked. Black is excellent at showing how much Nacho cares for the orphans and how he dreams of being the most famous Lucha Libre wrestler in Mexico. He gets you to want this goal for Nacho, too, and you won’t be disappointed in the end, because this movie has a very satisfying conclusion.
The actors overall are great, especially Jack Black, and all the performances in this movie are hilarious. The actors play their roles extremely well, almost like you are there in Mexico with them.
There are so many funny moments in this movie that I quote daily. One example is a note Nacho writes to one of the nuns, and another is when he gives the orphans food.
Nacho Libre has many hilarious moments and a fantastic storyline. For these reasons, I would give it my highest recommendation—this movie is the BOMB!
It’s a comedic masterpiece! And if you love comedies as much as I do, you should also check out School of Rock and Napoleon Dynamite.
